The head of Naftogaz held a meeting with the leadership of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region

Oleksiy Chernyshov, head of Naftogaz of Ukraine, during a working trip to the Kharkiv region, held a meeting with the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov. This was reported by the Naftogaz press service.

"The city is under constant threat due to possible shelling. Our task is to provide Kharkiv residents and residents of the region with gas, its distribution during this winter, and, of course, heat," said the head of Naftogaz.

Chernyshov praised the state of readiness of gas networks before the start of the heating season.

"Interaction with the local authorities takes place in an absolutely constructive mode. Despite the military risks, the military reality, Kharkiv continues the possible development that it can provide under these conditions. It is in such a state that some of our cities, which are not located in military zones or front-line regions, could envy the work of local authorities in this matter," added Oleksiy Chernyshov.

Mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov noted that despite military risks, the city is 100% ready for the heating season today. "I am grateful to Oleksiy Mykhailovych for his high assessment of the work of communal enterprises," Terekhov added.

At the same time, readiness for the heating season in the Kharkiv region remains under special control in view of the war, the head of Naftogaz said.

"The preparedness of the Kharkiv region needs special attention. The region had been preparing for this winter for the previous year. There is the maximum training that could be achieved. Communities worked, and community leaders worked. The regional military administration was constantly involved. Nowadays, it is important that the residents of the Kharkiv region are provided with a natural gas supply. The main challenge is, of course, military risks, which, unfortunately, exist. But on the part of the gas distribution networks, on the part of the Naftogaz Group, there is appropriate preparation to react in such cases," Chernyshov assured.

"Currently, the region is fully ready for the autumn-winter period. After last year's shelling, we restored the maximum number of destroyed buildings. And we continue to do it. It is necessary to tell everyone absolutely clearly that the winter will be difficult, and the enemy will continue to terrorize the local population. However, we are ready to respond to extraordinary events in order to provide the residents of the Kharkiv region with heat," confirmed Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
