The head of Naftogaz Chernyshov met with the Ambassador of Japan, Matsuda Kuninori

On June 6, Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, held a working meeting with Matsuda Kuninori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine, Chernyshov reported on Facebook.

The parties discussed Russia's use of energy as a weapon. "The issue is particularly relevant today when a terrorist country destroyed the Kakhovska HPP dam," Chernyshov said.

According to the head of Naftogaz, the war unleashed by Russia affects global energy security.

"In addition, I was glad to hear a positive assessment of our efforts to increase production and stop importing gas.

I am grateful for the willingness to work together for the sake of approaching victory and supporting the stable operation of our energy industry," Chernyshov added.
