The head of Naftogaz, Chernyshov, and the head of the IMF mission in Ukraine, Gray, discussed cooperation

Oleksiy Chernyshov, the head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC held an online meeting with the head of the International Monetary Fund mission, Gavin Gray, the company's press service reports.

Chernyshov emphasized that one of the key priorities that the Naftogaz Group is currently working on is the stabilization of the financial situation.

The parties discussed the impact of the war on the Ukrainian gas sector and the new program of cooperation with the Fund.

"Regardless of the complexity of the situation in which our country is now, we must make maximum efforts and use all available tools and opportunities in order to successfully pass the heating season and stabilize the situation in the company. Consistent and unquestionable support of Ukraine from the International Monetary Fund opens up new horizons of cooperation to strengthen our economy," Oleksiy Chernyshov emphasized.

One may remind that Naftogaz plans to strengthen cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in matters of energy security and the completion of the 2022-2023 heating season.
