The Government will join Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine to GTS Operator of Ukraine

At a meeting on May 12, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to approve a draft law on the joining of Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine JSC (MGU) to GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC (GTSOU). People's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reports this.

As Zheleznyak notes, the reform of the corporate governance of GTSOU is one of Ukraine's obligations in cooperation with the IMF. The deadline is the end of July.

One may remind that in the fall of 2022, draft law No. 8068 was registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which proposed to join MGU to GTSOU. The joining procedure provides for the termination of the activities of MGU with the transfer of all its property, all rights, and obligations to GTSOU in accordance with the deed of transfer. According to the results of the accession procedure, ownership of 100% of the share in the authorized capital of GTSOU is transferred to the state.
