The Government extended the PSO regarding the supply of gas for heat producers

At its meeting on August 22, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the effect of PSO on the natural gas market, which will allow the heat tariffs for the population to remain unchanged.

Yes, the effect of Resolution No. 812 and the Regulation on PSO approved by it has been extended until April 15, 2024 (inclusive).

Naftogaz Trading LLC, which is entrusted with special responsibilities for the supply of natural gas, will sell gas at the following prices:

• 7,420 UAH/tcm – for producers of heat for the householders;
• 16,390 UAH/tcm – for heat producers for budget organizations;

For other consumers, the price of gas will be reduced compared to last season and will be determined by a formula based on market prices in Ukraine.

A flexible mechanism for the use of fixed volumes of gas by heat producers during the heating season has also been introduced. From now on, heat energy producers will be able to use the resource of a fixed volume of gas saved during the month in the following periods of the heating season.

The government also decided to suspend the contractual debiting of funds from the accounts of thermal utility companies for late payment for gas. Now they will keep 35% of the funds received from heat consumers for the services rendered. This will enable thermal utility companies enterprises to direct money to their primary needs. The adopted norm will be valid from September 1 to December 31, 2023.
