The first cogeneration plant of 1.5 MW is already operating in Kyiv

The first cogeneration gas-piston plant with a capacity of 1.5 MW, which was installed with the help of USAID and the Energy Security Project at one of the city's critical infrastructure enterprises, began operating in Kyiv. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on his Facebook page.

"Today, in the face of constant enemy attacks, our key priority is the modernization of the energy sector. The capital authorities are doing everything to increase the sustainability and energy independence of Kyiv. In particular, important objects of the capital," the mayor of the capital points out.

Kyiv has ordered another 15 cogeneration plants, which should arrive in batches during the year. The goal is to achieve an additional total capacity of about 170 MW during the year.
