The end of the heating season is delayed due to the cold weather - Chernyshov

Due to weather conditions, the heating season in Ukraine continues but should be completed as soon as the temperature indicators allow. Oleksiy Chernyshov, chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, stated this.

According to Chernyshov, Naftogaz has the necessary gas reserves to provide Ukrainians with heat for as long as necessary. At the same time, the head of Naftogaz emphasized that energy efficiency should remain the number 1 priority for local self-government bodies.

"This is not about the cold in homes, but about a comfortable temperature and savings when paying bills for the received heat. The war continues. It is important to save the resources needed to prepare for the next winter, which will be no less difficult," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

It will be recalled that six regions began the completion of the heating season at the end of March. It was expected that the heating season in the entire territory could end at the beginning of April, however, the weather conditions slightly shifted the end of the heating season.
