The chairman of the supervisory board of Main Gas Pipelines, Huberte Bettonville, is resigning

The head of the Supervisory Board of Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine (MGU) Huberte Battonville has decided to resign her powers. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a letter from Huberte Bettonville to Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.

"Despite my sincere efforts for the benefit of the company and the military resistance of Ukraine, some members of the supervisory board have proven that they will not and cannot apply EU standards and principles of corporate governance, and they should be ashamed of themselves. They are the main reason for my resignation," Bettonville said.

The head of the supervisory board also stated that she can no longer participate in the decision-making process and does not intend to create additional value for the company.

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed the composition of the Supervisory Board of MGU in July 2021. In addition to Bettonville, its members included Tetyana Fedorova, Iryna Marushko, Viktor Pynzenyk, and Jan Chadam.

Huberte Bettonville has 25 years of experience in the natural gas market at FLUXYS (Belgium) in regulatory and commercial areas, in the areas of finance, internal audit, and business development.

Main gas pipelines of Ukraine JSC is the sole owner of 100% of the share in the authorized capital of GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC, which is engaged in the transportation of natural gas.
