The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Procedure for export of electricity by a guaranteed buyer

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Procedure for export of electricity by a guaranteed buyer. This was reported by the representative of the Government in the Parliament, Taras Melnychuk, reports ExPro.

The order defines: requirements for formation of the minimum sale price by a guaranteed buyer of electric energy for export; features of the auction regarding the determination of the counterparty under the contract for the export of electric energy by the guaranteed buyer; peculiarities of the guaranteed buyer's participation in auctions for the allocation of access to the capacity of interstate crossings; the amount of profit from the export of electric energy of the guaranteed buyer.

Also, the resolution of the CMU on PSO for exporters was supplemented with a provision according to which the requirements of the Regulation on imposing special obligations on exporters are not applied to the guaranteed buyer during the export of electric energy.

As stated in the published procedure, "Guaranteed Buyer" will conduct specialized auctions for export, on the organized platform (Ukrainian Energy Exchange). The counterparties will be determined at the auction.

As previously reported, on February 2, the Cabinet of Ministers passed a decision on the transformation of the state-owned enterprise (SE) "Guaranteed Buyer" into a joint-stock company, 100% of the shares in the authorized capital of which belong to the state and are not subject to privatization.
