Systemoilingeniring completed the construction of a turbo-expander unit at a GDS

In July, the Systemoilingeniring company completed the construction of a turbo-expander unit at a gas distribution station on its fields. This was reported by the company's press service.

The cost of the investment project was about UAH 1 billion. According to the company, the turbo-expander units are designed to produce electricity at the gas station by releasing energy at the moment of gas transition from the high-pressure gas pipeline to the medium- and low-pressure gas pipelines.

The capacity of the installation at the gas distribution station is currently 1.2 mcm of gas per day, but by the end of the year the daily rate may increase to 1.6 mcm of gas, the company noted.

As reported in Systemoilingeniring, the newest unit will improve the natural gas processing process and increase the profitability of its production. With its help, the company predicts a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
