Stable gas supply is a priority for the heating season, - Chernyshov

The main priority of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC for the current heating season is the stable supply and provision of fuel to thermal utility companies, enterprises, industrial consumers, and households.

According to him, Naftogaz, as the largest supplier of natural gas, should become a guarantor that all consumers in all regions will have access to the necessary resource.

"For this, it is necessary to conduct a daily dialogue with representatives of communities and local authorities and jointly solve problems. Any issues with communities must be resolved quickly, without delay, avoiding bureaucratic obstacles as much as possible," Chernyshov said.

The head of Naftogaz emphasized that gas in underground storages, high rates of domestic production, and international cooperation form the energy stability of the gas market of Ukraine.

According to Chernyshov, it is necessary to restore the trust of foreign partners in the energy sector to develop international cooperation. One of the most critical areas of work is the establishment of cooperation with leading banks and international financial institutions, which depend on the financing of the industry the purchase of natural gas, and investments in gas production.

One may remind that Naftogaz appealed to the owners of Eurobonds to find a mutually acceptable solution.

The energy sector is going through challenging times because energy infrastructure facilities have become targets for missile strikes by Russian forces. However, thanks to the superpowers that the energy, gas, and heat companies continuously invest in their work, Ukraine continues to hold on.

"The answer to these challenges should be the maximum mobilization of our energy resources, a balanced energy system, and energy efficiency," Chernyshov concluded.
