SPE International invites to the first international conference on geology and development in Kyiv

SPE brings you the inaugural SPE Eastern Europe Subsurface Conference focusing on reservoir characterisation, basin modelling, seismic imaging, field management/optimised recovery (EOR/IOR), digitalisation effects on recovery and asset life cycle management.

The Ukrainian oil and gas industry is a regional E&P hub with its huge oil and gas resource base, capacious market, advantageous location and rich industry history. This is the first professional subsurface conference in Eastern Europe, bringing you world class technical expertise, new exploration concepts and innovative production enhancements and improvements.

Eastern Europe and the Black Sea region has a wealth of resources at its fingertips, and the oil and gas sector has been a strong contributor to the region’s economy for decades. However, an ever-changing international landscape means the industry must invest today in the innovation that will allow it not just to remain competitive, but actually grow and become self-sufficient.

The global and local economies are changing and at an ever-faster pace. We now live in a globally connected and networked marketplace and technological innovation continuously opens new opportunities and ways for delivering and experiencing goods and services, including energy. Global commitments to reducing carbon emissions are driving investment in new technologies, modernisation of existing assets and making alternative energy sources more economic.

A collaborative approach across research, education, government, business and investor communities to build a stronger future for the sector is essential.

The mission of an Energy company is to contribute to energy security, that is, to make available at an affordable price, the energy needed by an increasing population. This objective shall be handled in a sustainable way, driving modernisation and providing the responsible energy mix that an ever-expanding energy market requires.

ODESA OFFSHORE CONFERENCE-2019 Ukraine has every chance to resume the work of the most promising oil and gas region, the Southern oil&gas fields. The untapped deposits of oil and gas are located both onshore and subsea. Four companies have already poised to conclude Production Sharing Agreements with Ukraine, whilst bidding for the Dolphin oil&gas fields on Black Sea shelf. The Odesa Offshore Conference (OOC2019) will serve as a venue for Ukrainian and international bidders to meet with local and international drilling, oilfield service and equipment manufacturers to kick-off emerging subsea and onshore projects in Ukraine.
