Sergiy Glazunov is the new Chief Strategy Officer of Naftogaz

Sergiy Glazunov has been appointed as the new Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer of Naftogaz Group, ExPro sources say.

Sergiy Glazunov was CEO of Smart Energy Group until November 2022, a position he had held for 12 years since 2010. In addition, he served as CEO of Enwell Energy from July 2017 to March 2024, according to LinkedIn. Enwell Energy is a part of Smart Energy Group.

Smart Energy Group is one of the largest private gas producers in Ukraine. According to ExPro estimates, in 2023 Smart Energy will produce about 150 mcm of natural gas in 2013.

The Smart Energy Group includes Ukrgasvydobutok PrJSC, Enwell Energy, Smart Energy LLC, Representative Office of Regal Petroleum Corporation Limited, Prom-Energo Product LLC, and Arkona Gas-Energy LLC.

Glazunov graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in mathematics. He holds a master's degree in statistics from Michigan State University (USA) and an MBA from Wayne State University.

As a reminder, from December 2021 to January 2023, Sergiy Boyev worked as the Strategy and Business Development Director of Naftogaz Group.
