Security forces searched Mazepa's partners in the Mainytske gas field

The owner of the investment company Concorde Capital, Igor Mazepa, reported on Facebook on Friday about searches of colleagues and partners at the Mainytske gas field in the Lviv region. According to Mazepa, the searches are related to a property dispute between the current and former owners of the field.

According to Forbes, Mazepa confirmed that the searches are taking place through the Mainytske gas field, and a certain amount of money was previously seized during the searches. Mazepa also stated that he would be summoned for questioning as a witness.

"The law enforcement agencies are very interested in property disputes between two private companies - the current and former owners of the field. So much so that they staged their assault on the initiative of a private company," Mazepa wrote.

As a reminder, Concorde Capital, together with its partners, acquired a license for gas production on a 79 sq. km area in the Lviv region at the end of January 2021. However, the company never started industrial gas production in the field.

According to the YouControl register, the head of Concorde Capital Igor Mazepa together with Ivan Oliynyk and Oleg Vedmid became the owners of Navigator Mainytske LLC through Sela Energy LLC in 40/30/30 shares. The director of Sela Energy until March 2021 was the former production director of Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC Yuriy Nagornyak.

According to the court register, Sela Energy purchased a 100% stake in Navigator Mainytske from Navigator Complect LLC and made a base payment of $1.8 million (37.5% of the authorized capital). The remaining amount as a bonus payment was planned to be made later depending on the geological success of the drilling of the first well and the price of natural gas.

However, in May 2022, Sela Energy sent Navigator Complect a draft of an additional agreement on the suspension of obligations until the end of martial law.
