What is known about the strikes?
According to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko, the enemy attacked electricity generation and transmission facilities throughout Ukraine. The transmission system operator maintained emergency shutdown schedules during the attack itself.
Damaged energy facilities in several regions. In particular, the situation in the Rivne region is difficult. According to Rivneoblenergo, as of 10 am, 230 thousand consumers remain without electricity. There is also damage to critical infrastructure in the Volyn and Odesa regions.
There are interruptions in the supply of heat, water and electricity in the Odesa region. Emergency power outages are being implemented at the direction of Ukrenergo. Hospitals and other critical infrastructure facilities are operating using generators. All authorized services are working to eliminate the damage. At the moment, specialists are taking all possible measures to restore heat and water supply within several hours.
Also, Russia attacked DTEK thermal power plants, seriously damaging the equipment. According to preliminary information, there are no victims. After the shelling ended, employees of the enterprises promptly began eliminating their consequences and restoring the equipment.
As of 11:05, emergency outages have been canceled in Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions.
As of 11:00, Rivneoblenergo personnel managed to restore power supply to over 370 thousand consumers in the region. At this time, about 60 thousand electricity consumers in the Rivne region remain without power. Rivneoblenergo employees continue to work on restoring power supply in the city of Rivne and in the territory of the former Rivne district.
