Russia attacked the Smart Energy gas production facility in the Kharkiv region with Shahedes

One of the Smart Energy group's gas production facilities in the Kharkiv region was attacked by Shahed drones on the evening of October 11. This was reported by the company's press service.

The workers went to the shelter in time and remained unharmed.

At the same time, the equipment at the facility was significantly damaged, and the two-story residential building was destroyed by fire.

As of noon on October 12, gas producers together with representatives of the State Emergency Service extinguished the fire. The National Police is preparing materials for the opening of criminal proceedings. The amount of damages is established.

Smart Energy also reminds that the group's assets in the Kharkiv region are currently blocked, and natural gas is not produced due to the suspension of hydrocarbon production licenses. According to the company, because of the stoppage of the fields, the state did not receive UAH 725 million in taxes and 84 mcm of natural gas.

The stable operation of energy assets is extremely important for the successful completion of the upcoming heating season. Especially in the conditions of the constant threat of destruction of the energy infrastructure by the enemy," Smart Energy noted.
