Regulator sets electricity transmission tariff for 2025 at UAH 686.23/MWh
The regulator has increased the electricity transmission tariff by almost 30% - to UAH 686.23/MWh. The relevant decision was made at a meeting on December 19, ExPro reports.
“I would like to emphasize that for the first time in the last 4 years, the transmission tariff takes into account almost the full scope of the special obligations imposed on the company,” said Oleksiy Brecht, head of NPC Ukrenergo.
The tariff for electricity transmission services for “green” metallurgy enterprises for 2025 will be UAH 359.55/MWh.
As stated in the justification, when determining the article “Costs for special obligations to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative sources other than private households”, the updated forecasted volume of electricity supply by “green” producers under the feed in premium mechanism was taken into account. Also, the level of costs for Joint Allocation Office (JAO) services was updated.
The forecasted volume of electricity transmission for 2025 is 98,652,000 MWh.
According to estimates by NPC Ukrenergo, the share of the transmission tariff in the structure of the final cost of electricity for non-household consumers will be up to 10%.
The tariff for dispatching services for 2025 is set at 98.97 UAH/MWh, which is 5% less than the tariff for 2024.
Also, the Regulator approved tariffs for electricity distribution. More detailed information on the tariff for each distribution system operator will be published in the next issue of ExPro Electricity Weekly.
