Qatari LNG tankers resume sailing in the Red Sea after several days of stoppage

Four tankers carrying Qatari LNG have resumed their course after several days of stoppage amid attacks by Yemeni Houthis.

According to LSEG ship tracking data, the LNG tanker Al Rekayyat has resumed its movement through the Red Sea and is heading to Qatar. Meanwhile, the vessels Al Ghariya, Al Huwaila and Al Nuaman, loaded with Qatari LNG, also started moving but changed their course to the south, although they still signal the Suez Canal as their destination.

Tankers from Qatar that go through Suez usually head to Europe, and Poland has repeatedly received deliveries by Al Ghariya and Al Huwaila tankers.

As reported, Qatar has suspended LNG supplies through the Red Sea amid rising risks after US missile strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen.
