Protection of oil and gas infrastructure - a matter of complex interaction, - Chernyshov

Naftogaz Group continues to prepare critical infrastructure for possible attacks from Russia. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy set the corresponding task for the complex protection of critical infrastructure facilities during the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in early September.

Then the head of state instructed the Ministry of Economy, Naftogaz of Ukraine, the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and other services and departments to take the necessary measures.

According to Oleksiy Chernyshov, active attention is currently being paid to the physical protection of objects. The head of Naftogaz told about this on the air of the telethon.

"We worked all the previous year to prepare. We continue to do this and now we are strengthening measures to protect the oil and gas infrastructure," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

He noted that complex work in this direction continues constantly: "It is about basic protection, and about complex protection, and about cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard."

At the same time, the chairman of Naftogaz of Ukraine also emphasized that the war with Russia should not become an obstacle to the continuation of reforms in the energy sector.

"No reforms can wait. We should be aware of this absolutely clearly. Ukraine needs reforms today," he said, reminding that gas prices will remain fixed this winter and will not increase until next year.
