Poltavanaftogazrozvidka plans drilling wells at a depth of 6300 m at Pivnichno-Kotelevska area
With the purpose of developing natural gas and oil deposits at Pivnichno-Kotelevska Area (Poltava region), Poltavanaftogazrozvidka LLC is planning drilling wells with a design depth of 6300 m.This is stated in the announcement of the company found in the register of environmental impact assessment, which was published on May 2, 2019.
Poltavanaftogazrozvidka aims at conducting a search and exploration of hydrocarbon deposits, research and development, geological and economic assessment and approval of the reserves by SRC of Ukraine, the development of Pivnichno-Kotelevska Area. Also, for the gathering and treatment of hydrocarbons, it is planned a construction of a plant for treatment of hydrocarbon raw materials.
In oil and gas geological terms, the area belongs to the Talalaivsko-Rybalskyi oil and gas region. Beside it, Kotelevske, Berezivske, Stepove and Rybalske oil and gas condensate fields (Ukrgasvydobuvannya) were opened. Commercial productive hydrocarbons at Pivnichno-Kotelevska area are connected with the deposits of the Serpukhovian and Visean stages. This conclusion was made on the basis of detailed field seismic survey under 3D CDPM (common depth point) method.
