PGS completes 3D seismic acquisition on the first block of the 5,000-squarekilometre Black Sea shelf

Naftogaz, together with the Norwegian Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS), is completing the 3D seismic survey on the first shallow block of the Black Sea shelf with an area of 5,000 square kilometres. This was stated by Maksym Vityk, Director of Strategic Projects of the Exploration and Production Division of Naftogaz Group.

As previously reported, the total scope of the 3D seismic survey that PGS should conduct is 23 thousand square kilometres. Processing and interpretation of data acquired offshore is planned until the end of 2022.
