Oman LNG signs supply agreement with TotalEnergies

Oman LNG and TotalEnergies, which is one of its shareholders, have signed a sales and purchase agreement for the supply of 800 thousand tons of LNG (1.1 bcm) per year. TotalEnergies, which owns 5.54% of Oman LNG, will receive LNG for 10 years starting in 2025.

Last week, Oman LNG also signed a similar agreement with Turkey's state-owned gas grid operator Botas to supply about 1 million tons of LNG (1.4 bcm) per year for 10 years starting in 2025.

Earlier, Oman LNG also signed a 10-year agreement with Shell for the supply of 1.6 million tons of LNG (2.2 bcm) per year.

In addition, TotalEnergies made a final investment decision on the Marsa LNG bunkering project in Oman. According to TotalEnergies, a gas liquefaction plant with a production capacity of 1 million tons of LNG (1.4 bcm) per year will be built in the port of Sohar, and LNG production will begin in Q1 2028.
