Oleksiy Chernyshov spoke before the governing board of the EU Energy Platform

Oleksiy Chernyshov, the head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, spoke before the governing board of the EU Energy Platform on April 25, the company's press service reports.

During his speech, Chernyshov said that Naftogaz had registered on the Aggregate EU joint gas procurement platform and was ready for the first stage of its work.

During his speech, the head of the Naftogaz Group also appealed to the participants of the European gas market with a proposal to use the capacities of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities (UGS) to store natural gas purchased within the framework of the Aggregate EU platform.

"Ukrtransgaz successfully passed certification and confirmed its right to carry out gas storage activities in accordance with the updated rules in the European Union and the Energy Community. Naftogaz is capable of making Ukraine a "power bank" of a united Europe and hopes for fruitful cooperation," Oleksiy Chernyshov added.
