Oil deliveries from Kazakhstan to Germany through the Druzhba oil pipeline will begin in February

Kazakhstani oil deliveries to Germany through the Druzhba oil pipeline will begin in February 2023. This was reported by the Russian oil pipeline operator Transneft.

Kazakh oil will go through Russia. The companies Transneft and Kaztransoil concluded an agreement on the transportation of oil through the Druzhba oil pipeline to Germany. The initial volume of transit is 20,000 tons per day. Oil will go through Russia, Belarus, and Poland.

In January, Russian Transneft transported 500,000 tons of Russian oil through the Druzhba oil pipeline to Poland, but Germany refused to buy oil from the Russian Federation in connection with the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
