Obtaining $5 billion in compensation for the lost assets of the Naftogaz Group in Crimea is the focus of the company's work. Oleksiy Chernyshov, the chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, spoke with the head of the Budget Committee of the US Senate, Sheldon Whitehouse, at their meeting on May 16, 2023.

“Enforcement of the recent Hague arbitration award was discussed during an online meeting with Sheldon Whitehouse, chairman of the US Senate Appropriations Committee. A joint plan of action is the topic of our next meeting in Washington," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The meeting also discussed the transformation of Naftogaz from a classic oil and gas company into a broad-based energy company.

"Ukraine has a significant green energy potential, which we plan to develop even despite the war. We will work on implementing the agreements," Oleksiy Chernyshov added.
