NPPs now provide 55% of total consumption in Ukraine - "Energoatom"

Eight NPP power units are currently operating at maximum capacity and provide about 55% of total electricity consumption in Ukraine.

This was reported in Energoatom on January 24.

"Today, January 24, 2022, 8 power units of Ukrainian nuclear power plants on the territory controlled by the state are operating at maximum nominal capacity and provide about 55% of the total electricity consumption in the country. The largest volumes of electricity are generated by the South Ukrainian NPP," the state company says.

One power unit at one of the nuclear power plants, which is located in the territory controlled by Ukraine, is under repair.

The Zaporizhzhya NPP is stopped, the occupiers prevent the start-up of power units.
