Novoyavorivska CHPP continues preparations for the new heating season

Novoyavorivska CHPP, which is part of the Naftogaz Group, received new pre-insulated pipes to replace sections of emergency networks. Before the beginning of the heating season, the employees of the heating networks workshop will replace more than 400 meters of heating networks that have reached the end of their service life.

"We are starting the planned replacement of the most problematic sections of heating networks in the city of Novoyavorivsk. First of all, we will replace those emergency pipelines that most often fail during the heating season. These are sections of networks on Stepan Bandera Street in the area of CHPP 1 (central heating station) and on Lvivska Street," said Bohdan Khimka, head of the thermal networks department of Novoyavorivska CHPP.

This year, 312 meters of emergency pipe with a diameter of 219 mm and 120 meters with a diameter of 325 mm will be replaced with high-quality pre-insulated pipes. The company reported that this will make it possible to improve heat supply to residents of the first micro-district and reduce the number of accidents for many years. After all, the service life of pre-insulated pipes, according to manufacturers, is several dozen years.

Other advantages of the new pipes include resistance to corrosion, low heat loss (1.5-2%), unchanged characteristics throughout the entire service life, a 9-fold reduction in operating costs, and high mechanical strength.
