NKREKP postpones the introduction of daily balancing of natural gas to December 01, 2018

The National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Utilities of Ukraine (NKREKP) postponed introduction of daily balancing of natural gas from October 01, 2018 to December 01, 2018.

Over the postponed period, the national operator of gas transportation pipeline system should test the balancing system software platform, its integrity, and report to NKREKP on their readiness of the national operator to launch the daily balancing.

This was motioned by Ms. Olena Krivenko, Head of NKREKP, and her proposal was passed at the session on September 28, 2018, right after hearing of the report made by Acting Head of Ukrtransgaz [the national natural gas pipeline transportation operator-Ed.], as stating that the operator is not ready, so far, to launch the daily balancing system.

Noteworthy, NKREKP has been postponing the introduction of natural gas daily balancing for the second time in a row. Just recently, NKREKP has postponed the launch of the daily balancing from August 01 to October 01, 2018.
