NEURC approved development plans of GTSOU and Ukrtransgaz until 2032

At its meeting on June 9, 2023, the NEURC adopted resolutions on the approval of the gas transportation system development plan for 2023-2032 of GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC, as well as on the approval of the gas storage development plan for 2023-2032 of Ukrtransgaz JSC.

The total amount of funding for the GTS Development Plan is UAH 43.7 billion. The main areas of the GTS development plan for the first year of the ten-year development plan are financing for: the reconstruction of gas pipelines; construction of automated systems for early detection of emergency situations and notification, as well as reconstruction of substations at compressor stations; reconstruction of gas distribution facilities; production of design and research works for the construction and reconstruction of infrastructure objects of the gas transportation system; modernization and purchase of vehicles, special machines, and mechanisms; purchase of diagnostic and examination devices and other devices; implementation and development of information technologies; purchase of production equipment.

The total amount of funding for the Gas Storage Development Plan is UAH 13.9 billion. The main areas of the gas storage development plan for the first year of the ten-year development plan are financing for: underground gas storage; operation of gas storage facilities; modernization and purchase of vehicles, special machines, and mechanisms; purchase of diagnostic and examination devices and other devices; introduction and development of information technologies.

According to the NEURC, the result of the implementation of the Plans for the development of the GTS and gas storage facilities for 2023 - 2032 should be the provision of reliable and trouble-free operation of the gas transportation system and gas storage facilities, respectively.
