Natural gas consumption in Ukraine declined by 10% in January 2022, down to 4 bcm

Natural gas consumption in Ukraine declined by 10% in January 2022, down to 4 bcm, according to ExPro records, in January 2022, Ukraine consumed by 400 mcm less of the natural gas than in January 2021. This indicator includes both the volumes for household and general consumptions, and for production and main pipeline technological losses.

Compared to December 2021, gas consumptions in Ukraine in January 2022, by contrast, increased by 2%, because in January is traditionally consumes more volumes of natural gas than in any other months of the year.

High prices for natural gas and relatively warm weather also contributed to lower consumptions on natural gas in Ukraine.
