Naftogaz will receive an additional €189 million from the EBRD for the purchase of gas

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine gave its consent to the receipt by Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) of funds for emergency gas purchases. This is reported in Order No. 53 dated January 23, 2023.

According to the document, consent is given for Naftogaz to carry out a transaction for an amount exceeding UAH 3 billion the conclusion of a grant agreement from the EBRD (Financing of emergency gas purchases by Naftogaz). According to the Prime Minister, the sum is €189 million.
