Naftogaz plans to increase gas production by 8% in 2023

In 2023, Naftogaz Group plans to increase gas production by 8% compared to 2022. This was said by Oleksiy Chernyshov, chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, at a meeting of the working group on monitoring the implementation of the law "On the natural gas market".

"Despite the war, today Naftogaz was able to maintain the volume of gas production. Moreover, this year we plan to increase it - plus 8% compared to last year," said Chernyshov.

He noted that the number of wells has been doubled to 88 units. At the same time, it was possible to increase the additional throughput per well by 1.5 times - up to 79 tcm of gas per day.

Chernyshov also reported that as of July 31, Naftogaz had purchased 0.7 bcm of Ukrainian-produced gas at the site of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.
