Naftogaz plans to become carbon-neutral company by 2040
The Naftogaz Group presented a development strategy, according to which the state holding plans to develop a separate low-carbon direction, and become a carbon-neutral company by 2040, as voiced by Lana Zerkal, Advisor to the Chairman of the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
"We are taking about the same goals that society has taken, that is, to become a carbon-neutral company by 2040. We are aware that this will be very difficult to achieve, and we understand that as a partner, we are very attractive to international financial institutions, which are now investing in new "green" energy," she said.
Zerkal also added that the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has very significant opportunities to attract investment into low-carbon development.
