Naftogaz launches a new well with a daily flow rate of 150 tcm of gas

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC (UGV), a member of Naftogaz Group, has commissioned a new exploration well with a daily flow rate of 150 tcm of natural gas, the press service of Naftogaz reports. The depth of the well is 5,400 meters.

“Increasing gas production is of strategic importance for the energy security of our country in times of war. I thank my colleagues for their consistent and effective work in this direction,” said Roman Chumak, who is temporarily acting as the Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Construction of a site for the next exploration well has now begun at the field.

As a reminder, in 11 months of 2024, Ukrgasvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta produced more than 13.5 bcm of gas.
