Naftogaz has started importing gas from Europe, in January it plans to import more than 275 mcm of gas

Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC intends to import more than 275 mcm of natural gas from European destinations, ExPro sources inform.

The company will import the main part of natural gas from Slovakia - more than 165 mcm, Poland - more than 75 mcm, and Hungary - more than 35 mcm of natural gas.

Gas sellers are international traders, among which the largest suppliers will be Equinor and RWE Supply&Trading - more than 100 mcm each. In addition, sellers will be Vitol, DXT Commodities, MET, EP Commodities, and ERU Management.

According to ExPro, Naftogaz has already started importing gas since the beginning of the year, importing 9.3 mcm of natural gas per day. It will be recalled that in December the company managed to contract the import of about 450 mcm of natural gas from the Norwegian Equinor and other European traders authorized by the EBRD.
