Naftogaz discovered a new field in the Kharkiv region by drilling a well with a gas flow rate of 239 tcm a day

Naftogaz reports on a successful well testing at a green field, namely on the Mospanivska area, in the Kharkiv region.

"In June 2021, we started drilling in the Mospanivska area. Using an upgraded drilling rig, we drilled a wildcat and discovered a new field in the Mospanivska area. According to preliminary estimates, the field's resources amount to up to 5 bcm of gas," the company said.

The purpose of exploration drilling is to determine the geological structure of the Mospanivska area, to establish the oil and gas potential of prospective productive horizons.

Well No. 2 is currently being tested and surveyed.
