Naftogaz demonstrates positive dynamics in preparing for the heating season - Oleksiy Chernyshov

Naftogaz Group is working closely with local authorities to ensure the timely start of the heating season and improve payments for natural gas. This was announced by Naftogaz CEO Oleksiy Chernyshev during the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities chaired by the President of Ukraine today, August 20, 2024.

“The most important task currently facing Naftogaz Group and local authorities is to consolidate efforts and start the heating season in every region of Ukraine on time. For our part, we are ready to provide the state with the necessary fuel resources and guarantee the timely conclusion of contracts with heat producers,” said Oleksiy Chernyshev.

He added that today's production dynamics exceed last year's figures and make it possible to plan to go through the second winter in a row on our own gas. In addition, the price for household consumers will remain unchanged at least until April 30, 2025 - UAH 7.96 per cubic meter (including VAT).

“Starting September 1, we also expect the Government to extend special obligations, the terms of which will provide for the preservation of the current preferential prices for natural gas for district heating companies, budgetary institutions, and electricity producers until April 30, 2025,” said the Head of Naftogaz Group.
