Naftogaz commissioned a new well at the Buhaivske field

Naftogaz commissioned a new appraisal well at the Buhaivske field, which increased its reserves by 400 mcm, the press service of the Exploration and Production Division reported. During new well testing at the Buhaivske field, several gas deposits were identified in the Middle Carboniferous. Currently, the well produced 40 tcm of gas a day.

In addition, according to the results of geophysical studies in the specified well, Naftogaz specialists managed to increase the field's gas reserves by 400 mcm of gas, but the reserves estimation is still ongoing.

Naftogaz noted that in this zone, in addition to the Buhaivske field, there are several other promising company assets, in particular, the Nurivske and Maksalske fields, which reserves are also likely to increase based on the results of research in the new well.

Therefore, in addition to the work of geologists on an additional exploration of these areas, reservoir engineers have formed a plan of service operations to stabilize production. Thus, at the Maksalske and Buhaivske fields we plan to receive over 100 mcm of gas over the next 3 years, the company noted.
