Naftogaz canceled almost UAH 45 million in premiums in affiliated regional gas companies

The Naftogaz Group decided to cancel UAH 44.7 million in bonus payments in three gas distribution companies that were part of the RGC Group of oligarch Dmytro Firtash, and on August 15 were transferred to the management of Naftogaz. This was reported by the Naftogaz press service.

Naftogaz notes that in August 2023, the management of Mykolaivgaz JSC, Ivano-Frankivskgaz JSC, and Khmelnytskygaz JSC was changed.

"According to the results of the audit of the financial statements of the mentioned companies initiated by the new management, the previous decisions of the supervisory boards, according to which the dismissed Chairmen and members of the Management Board of the Companies accrued unjustified bonuses in May 2023," Naftogaz reported.

It is also noted that all the above-mentioned companies have declared unprofitability: they have receivables, are suspected of tax evasion, and appear in criminal proceedings.

"The task of the new management is to establish uninterrupted work, rationally use the energy resource, observe high financial discipline, and stop the process of debt creation," the state-owned company concluded.
