MOL and SlovNaft have paid for the transit of Russian oil via Ukraine; supplies are expected to resume

The Hungarian oil and gas company MOL announced that it has made a payment to Ukrainian PJSC Ukrtransnafta to restore supplies of Russian oil via the Druzhba pipeline. Reuters reports.

The Hungarian company expects the resumption of oil supplies via Ukraine in the coming days. "The Ukrainian side promised to resume oil transportation within a few days," the company said.

Slovak oil refining company SlovNaft (part of MOL Group) also reported that it has paid for the transit of Russian oil via Ukraine and expects to resume supplies through Druzhba in the coming days.

According to SlovNaft, the Russian side agreed with the decision regarding payment for oil transportation by MOL and SlovNaft.

As reported by ExPro, on August 4, PJSC Ukrtransnafta stopped the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba oil pipeline to Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic due to non-payment.
