MET Ukraine started importing electricity from Slovakia to Ukraine

In October 2024, the MET Ukraine company has started electricity supplies to Ukraine from Slovakia. Soon, the company plans to import electricity from other EU countries as well. This was reported in the company's press center.

The company "MET Ukraine" with an office in Kyiv was founded in 2016 and consists of 7 employees. The main activity of the Ukrainian subsidiary MET during the last 8 years was the supply of natural gas to wholesale consumers, as well as to the retail segment of the Ukrainian market. In addition, MET uses Ukrainian gas storage facilities. Together with MET Group subsidiaries in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, MET Ukraine belongs to MET GEM (MET Gas and Energy Marketing), which focuses on emerging markets.

Import of electricity to Ukraine

In general, for January-September 2024, 64 companies used electricity imports. The largest companies importing electricity from Slovakia are 47 legal entities.
