Medvedchuk's oil refinery in Russia is on fire
On the morning of June 22, 2022, a fire broke out at the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery (Refinery) in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by local resources.
According to them, the fire broke out in a heat exchanger in an area of 50 square meters. According to reports, no one was injured.
According to some Telegram channels, a drone was spotted before the fire in the sky at the refinery. So far, no official information about the drone strike or its affiliation has been released.
In Russia, they noted that the fire was localized, no one was injured.
Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery is one of the largest refineries in the South of Russia, as well as the only one in the Rostov region. The refinery is located 10 km from the border with Ukraine (Luhansk region).
The Novoshakhtinsky refinery officially belonged to Oksana Marchenko and Natalia Lavrenyuk, the wives of pro-Russian Ukrainian politicians from the former OPZH party, Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak.
