Maurikiy Kalugin will leave Naftogaz on January 31
Board member and Chief Executive Officer of Naftogaz Group Mavrikii Kalugin is leaving Naftogaz. Maurikiy Kalugina's last day of work is January 31, reports Naftorynok with reference to Naftogaz sources.
He has been working as Chief Executive Officer since November 26, 2021. Mavrikiy Kalugin was born in Nikolaevsk (Alaska, USA), has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry around the world, has deep competencies in the field of management of mining and service companies, development of new fields and optimization of production in depleted oil and gas fields.
Before joining OJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Mavrikiy Kalugin worked for five years at PJSC Ukrnafta in the positions of advisor to the chairman of the board, deputy chairman of the board, and executive vice president for production and processing. New approaches proposed by Mavrikii Kalugin helped Ukrnafta to stabilize hydrocarbon production despite the small volume of the investment program. Previously, Maurikiy Kalugin held senior positions in such companies as Petrofac, Cairn India, BP, TNK-BP, Occidental Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, and ARCO. Mr. Kalugin received his education at the University of Idaho (USA).
