Kyiv ends the heating season on April 8

The Kyiv City Council decided to end the heating season in Kyiv on April 8, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko said. According to him, the relevant decision was made considering the weather conditions - stable and significant warming is expected.

"Every year, we decide on the beginning or end of the heating season, focusing on weather conditions, people's comfort, and rational use of energy resources," Klychko said.

According to Klychko, specialists need several days to switch to the summer operating mode of the system, because the capital's centralized heat supply system is one of the largest in Europe. It has more than 2.7 thousand km of heat networks, three powerful thermal power plants, almost two hundred heat supply stations, and boiler houses.
