KNESS has received License for Aggregation in the Electricity Market

KNESS has received a license for the right to conduct activity in aggregation in the electricity market. The decision was made on December 10, at a meeting of the NEURC.

As indicated by KNESS, obtaining a license is the first step for the start of work of a new participant in the electricity market - the Aggregator, and will also generally contribute to the development of distributed generation in the country. The Aggregator is an important link in dispatching, as it manages the capacity of distributed facilities, consumption, production, and energy storage. For active consumers who own generating capacity and/or an energy storage facility, this will provide an opportunity to receive additional income, and for the transmission system operator - more balancing capacities and a simplification of the structure of dispatching management of low-power electrical installations.
