Interpipe Ukraine can supply seamless pipes to UGV for almost UAH 1.2 billion

Interpipe Ukraine LLC submitted the best offers in two tenders of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC for the supply of seamless pipes and expects to sign contracts for a total value of UAH 1.19 billion (including VAT). This is reported in ExPro Daily Gas. The delivery period – during 2024. The place of delivery is the company's storage facilities in the Lviv, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.

As ExPro previously reported, on May 16, 2024, UGV announced a tender for the purchase of seamless casing pipes with the gas-tight coupling threaded connection. The expected cost of the tender – UAH 890.92 million (including VAT). The total length of the ordered pipes – 195.55 km. Three companies took part in the tender: Interpipe Ukraine LLC with an offer worth UAH 890.90 million, Dniprovskyy trubnyy zavod LLC – UAH 835.90 million, and Olbi Group Inc – UAH 829 million. The UGV rejected the proposals of the latter two companies because it found errors in the process of submission of documents by the companies, so Interpipe Ukraine won.

Besides, on May 17, 2024, UGV announced a tender for the purchase of hot-worked steel seamless pipes from rolled (or continuously cast) billets. The expected cost –UAH 302.22 million (including VAT). The total length of the pipes – 285.645 km. Two companies took part in the tender: Naftoservis LLC – UAH 302.22 million, and Interpipe Ukraine – UAH 302.2 million, the last of which won the tender.

The last time, in May 2024, the contract between UGV and Interpipe Ukraine was signed for the supply of seamless casing pipes with gas-tight coupling threaded connection for UAH 15.94 million (including VAT). The delivery period – until August 30, 2024.

As a reminder, Vorex has recently blocked Ukrgasvydobuvannya's purchases of seamless casing through the court. In January-February, UGV held 4 tenders for the purchase of seamless casing pipes, which were won by Interpipe Ukraine LLC with a total offer of UAH 1.153 billion (including VAT).

However, Vorex filed a complaint with the AMCU, claiming that the tender conditions were discriminatory against foreign companies. The AMCU dismissed Vorex's complaint, so the company appealed to the Commercial Court. The court granted the application for interim relief, prohibiting UGV or its affiliates from entering into contracts under these 4 tenders until the case is resolved.

Later, UGV succeeded in lifting the restrictions on entering into contracts in court. On May 7, 2024, the Commercial Court granted UGV's motion and canceled the interim measures taken on April 16, 2024.
