In October, Ukraine reduced electricity exports by 37% - to 69.3 thousand MWh

In October 2023, Ukraine reduced electricity exports by 37.3% - to 69.3 thousand MW*h.

At the same time, imports decreased by 27% - to 17.2 thousand MW*h.

In October of this year, Ukraine exported electricity in two directions - Slovakia (67%) and Moldova (33%). There were 3 directions for import - Slovakia, Moldova and Poland. Note that the import of electricity from Poland was resumed at the end of the month, for the first time since August.

As reported in ExPro Electricity Daily, Euromin Energy, a member of the Vitol Group, delivered 1,650 MW*h on October 28 and 29. Imports will continue to take place mostly during the "evening peak" hours, exports - during off-peak load hours (at night) and during "daytime" hours, when generation at the SPP is most active. The largest exporter to Moldova is "Ukrhydroenergo", to Slovakia - "DTEK Zahidenergo". The largest share in imports is held by "D.Trading", "EES" and "ERU Trading".
