In March, "Guaranteed Buyer" increased sales under bilateral contracts 6 times

In March 2023, the state enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" increased the sale of electricity from renewable energy sources under bilateral contracts sixfold, compared to February 2023. In March, 537,585 MWh of electricity was sold, while 87,825 MWh were sold in February.

According to the state-owned company, 10 auctions were held in March, the largest amount of electricity was sold at two auctions held on March 3 - 162,330 MWh (supply period March 11-31, 2023), and on March 17 - 133,500 MWh (delivery period April 2023). 248 bilateral agreements have been concluded. Weighted average selling price UAH 2,792.45/MWh. The total amount of sales for the month is UAH 1.5 billion (excluding VAT). "March turned out to be a productive month for us, our team worked hard to reach such indicators. This month we held two auctions with sales on working days, one themed, all others were classic. In addition to successful auctions, we worked as a team with partners to solve current complex issues: we met with the Regulator several times to develop a formula for calculating imbalances, held meetings with RES associations, USAID and EBA. Also, an important event for the company and the industry as a whole was the meeting with the Energy Community and a very thorough discussion of critical topics that concern all market participants," commented Artem Nekrasov, head of the state-owned enterprise.

According to ExPro data, more than 6.7 million MWh were sold on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange platform in March, 2.3 times higher than the figure for February. Among the biggest sellers are "Energoatom", "DTEK Energo", "Guaranteed buyer".
