Hungary records record electricity consumption
Last week, on Friday, November 22, Hungary recorded a peak consumption for the heating season. This was reported by the transmission system operator Mavir.
"According to verified data, last Friday (ed. - November 22) between 11:45 and 12:00 we recorded 7450 MW, which exceeds the previous record (January 22 this year) by 9 MW. Then it was -4.1 degrees Celsius, but last Friday the average temperature was only +1.3," Mavir said.
According to the Hungarian system operator, the share of renewables in the generation structure for this period was up to 12%.

According to ExPro Electricity monitoring data, on November 22, Hungary imported a total of 1.5 thousand MWh of electricity to Ukraine.
