Honghua International Ukraine will repair three UGV drilling rigs for UAH 26.5 million

Honghua International Ukraine LLC won the tender of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC (UGV) for the maintenance of drilling rigs and expects to sign a contract worth 26.5 mln n UAH (including VAT). The company will repair the ZJ-30 CZ drilling rig and two ZJ-40 CZ rigs.

The term of service provision is until June 30, 2025. The repair works will be carried out at the drilling division Ukrburgas (branch of UVG) in the Kharkiv region. The tender was held with the participation of one company in the absence of competition and an available alternative.

Honghua International Ukraine will carry out a range of works on diagnostics, maintenance, and current repair of drilling rigs using spare parts and consumables. In addition, to maintain the proper technical condition of the equipment, Honghua International Ukraine will provide engineering support and technical inspection services. The services offered by the company include maintenance of the drilling winch, drilling pump and transmission, rotor and rotary transmission, drilling swivel, pneumatic system, hydraulic system, and circulation system of low pressure.

In September 2023, Ukrgasvydobuvannya held a similar tender for the maintenance of three Chinese drilling rigs with an expected cost of UAH 18.8 million (including VAT). Honghua International Ukraine offered to perform the work for UAH 31.6 million. As the parties did not reach a price compromise, the contract was not signed.

As was previously reported, in 2017-2018, the Chinese company Sichuan Honghua Petroleum Equipment supplied 10 ZJ-70 DBS drilling rigs with a lifting capacity of 450 tons to UGV. The supplier has established a service center in Ukraine to ensure the smooth operation of the new drilling rigs. The only official representative of the manufacturer of this equipment in Ukraine is Honghua International Ukraine LLC.
